Borumba Deer Park CP
We went to Borumba Deer Park on the May long weekend with a group of people from our church. Borumba Deer Park is near Imbil, Qld.
We headed up after school and got there just on dark. The provided the first opportunity to setup in the dark. After debating for 10 minutes which way the camper should be orientated, we quickly setup. We didn’t do too badly in fact.
Borumba Deer Park used to be a deer farm (funny enough), but now I think it gains most of it’s income from campers. It was packed for the weekend – not a site left.
We had a great time. Borumba Dam is just down the road, so we went for a drive. It is quite a large dam, and they allow water activities on it as well (fishing, skying, canoeing, etc).
We also dropped into Imbil. It’s probably a quiet little town, but on long weekends, there is plenty of people around. It has an old railway station, and a fairly large structure railway bridge. It only gets used by a local tourist train on odd weekends.
